VRRRRRRROOOOM!

It's TT week!  For once this year I'm not volunteering at the grandstand scoreboard (all run by hand since the races started nearly 100 years ago).  So I've been bobbing about visiting the street parties, enjoying the silliness of it all.  I've not been toting my camera around recently so I've not got any pictures to show off, but I might take my video camera up to the senior race this afternoon.  Spent most of wednesday at watching at Ballaugh bridge, took my bike out for a zoom around the 37.73 mile circuit once the race had finished.  I didn't beat the lap time (heh), but damn was it fun!  The speed, the acceleration, the exposure to the elements, the control.  My MX-5 is buckets of fun, but it's not a motorbike!

Battlefield 2 Demo Released

Oooo, will the fun this week ever stop?  Battlefield 2 isn't due out for a few weeks yet, but the demo has been released.  I love BF1942, BFV sucked, really badly.  The graphics were nice but the gameplay was awful.  I just hope there is a 1942 mod for BF2 as I'm not too keen on the modern theaters of war; plus it better be good, it looks like EAUK have turned off all of their BF1942 servers :\  Finally found a torrent for the BF2 demo (FileRush), why the hell EA don't run their own torrent is beyond me.

Update: Well that didn't last long.  BF2 only supports certain graphics cards and mine isn't one of them.  Wish they'd pointed that out a bit sooner before the 500 meg download and the 2 reboots.  Looks like it's time I got one of these:

Battlefield 2 requires a 128MB video card with 1.4 Pixel Shader support. Battlefield 2 only supports the following video cards:

ATi
Radeon 8500, 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800 series, X300, X600, X700, X800, X850 series
